Josh Kjenner Architect is a small architectural practice based in Edmonton, Alberta. Josh Kjenner established JKA in 2022 after 12 years in architectural consulting, most recently spending five years as an associate at BattersbyHowat Architects.
The practice is focused on small scale residential and commercial projects. In this work we look to uncover and create beauty in the particular context of western Canada. We approach this task collaboratively, with pragmatism and technical rigour.
Josh studied engineering at the University of Alberta and Dartmouth College. He studied architecture at the University of British Columbia, where he received the AIBC medal. He is a registered Architect and Engineer in Alberta.
